Types of Insulation We Install
Getting the best results for our residential and commercial clients means understanding and using various insulation products. At IBP of Tampa, we use several types of insulation to best meet our clients’ needs on their insulation projects:
Block Foam Injection Insulation
By injecting concrete masonry units (CMUs) and similar structures with interior cavities with insulating foam, we can transform them into highly insulated assemblies capable of keeping moisture, air and heat at bay. This is important in Florida, as CMUs are far more common here than in other parts of the country.
Fiberglass Insulation
Fiberglass insulation in all its forms remains a popular material for homes and businesses. Cost-effective, efficient and easy to use, fiberglass batts and blown-in fiberglass can work wonders anywhere installation is viable.
Spray Foam Insulation
Spray foam insulation offers a wealth of benefits to sealing properties against moisture, air, heat and sound, with some spray foam retrofits showing energy savings as high as 50%. Spray foam insulation is applied as a wet coating that expands as it dries, filling in nooks and crannies on even the most irregular surfaces.
Radiant Barrier Insulation
In Florida, heat from the sun is a major concern when insulating any property — and a radiant barrier made of reflective materials can deflect sunlight and its heat when installed in the attic of your home or commercial property.
Rigid Foam Insulation
Rigid foam panels are an excellent option in new construction projects, though they are also used in re-insulation projects where it’s viable to install them. Available in three different forms of foam board, foam panels can cover a range of different insulation needs while being easily installed and effective for sound insulation and indoor air quality management.
Rockwool Insulation
Rockwool insulation, made of minerals spun into fiber and then formed into batts or rolls, is commonly used as highly efficient insulation with good thermal and soundproofing properties. Uniquely suited to insulate simultaneously against moisture and air infiltration while controlling sound, rockwool is highly versatile and used in commercial, residential and industrial properties.
